The Atlanta Braves are one of the most storied franchises in all of baseball, with a rich history stretching back to 1871. They have won the World Series twice, but last won it in 1957.
The atlanta braves world series championships 1995 is the last time that the Atlanta Braves won the World Series.
The Atlanta Braves seemed to be destined to be regarded as the club of the 1990s for a while. Then came Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees, who established a dynasty that made everyone forget about Chipper Jones and Greg Maddux, no matter how many World Series championships they attempted to win.
Freddie Freeman and his teammates have plenty of time to give Braves fans with similar thrills in the 2024s, maybe with more titles to celebrate this time.

In the great scope of things, it’s difficult to argue that the Braves have had a difficult time since the turn of the century.
Between 2000 and 2024, the Braves reached the playoffs 12 times. Even if you exclude 2012 since the club was eliminated in the Wild Card Game, that’s still a remarkable run.
With all due respect to Braves fans, there’s just so much they can gripe about over that period. Fans of the New York Mets would sell their souls for such a run.
The issue is a shortage of pennants, which we’ll distribute to the fans. Since Jeter and the Yankees swept them in the World Series in 1999, the Braves haven’t been back. Three years before, Atlanta had blown a 2-0 series lead against the same Yankees in the Fall Classic.
Since 1995, the Braves haven’t won the World Series.
Those born in October 1995 are eligible to vote in the past two presidential elections in the United States. They’re also too young to recall the Braves’ most recent World Series championship.
Some of the best players of that generation competed in that year’s Fall Classic. The Braves have three starting pitchers in the National Baseball Hall of Fame: Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine. Jones, a switch-hitter at third base, joined the club in 2018.
The Cleveland Indians’ starting lineup included two Hall of Famers. Eddie Murray, the switch-hitting designated hitter, and Jim Thome, the third baseman who received his bronze plaque the same day as Jones, each hit home runs in the series. Albert Belle and Kenny Lofton, two outfielders from Cleveland, should be considered for the Hall of Fame one day.
The Braves won the series in six games, thanks in large part to outstanding pitching. After going 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in two starts, Glavine, a wily lefty who finished with 305 career regular-season wins, was named World Series MVP.
Maddux pitched 16 innings and finished 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA. Ryan Klesko of the Atlanta Braves hit.313 with three home runs in six games, putting him in contention for World Series MVP.
Since relocating to Atlanta in 1966, the Braves have only won one title.
Despite the fact that the Braves have been around since 1871, they have only won three World Series championships as of the conclusion of the 2024 season. The good news is that the club’s supporters in all three locations have seen their team win a championship at some time.
The Boston Braves dominated the remainder of the season after finishing last on July 4, 1914, and swept the then-Philadelphia Athletics in the World Series. That series was the first in World Series history to be swept in four games.
In 1957, the Braves, who were then based in Milwaukee, won their second championship. In a seven-game series against Mickey Mantle and the Yankees, a promising rookie outfielder named Hank Aaron hit.393 with three home runs and seven RBIs. Lew Burdette, a veteran pitcher who went 3-0 with a 0.67 ERA and two complete-game shutouts, was named World Series MVP.
A year later, the two teams faced battle once again. The Yankees won their 18th World Series championship despite holding Mantle to a.250 average and two RBIs in seven games. The Braves didn’t make it to the Fall Classic again until 1991, when they played in Atlanta.
