To get a good understanding of the situation, it’s important to know that Ronaldo has two main agents: Jorge Mendes and Simon de Quieroz. The former runs Ronaldo’s affairs for him, while the latter is a consultant for Mendes; they represent a large number of top players in the world, and are instrumental in the transfer market. The Ronaldo-Juventus situation has been a tense one: after four years at the Juventus, Ronaldo returned to United and signed a new £300,000-a-week, four-year deal in the summer of 2018.
It’s been five years since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in a world record £80m move after nine seasons with the Red Devils. After everything he’d achieved, it was hard to believe that Ronaldo would leave but that’s exactly what happened. The Madrid outfit also offered him bonuses of £30m each year, which he couldn’t turn down.

Kobe Bryant will never be replaced. Many people likened Bryant to Michael Jordan because their skills were virtually similar, and they both had a fierce competitive drive that no one has been able to match since. However, the terror Bryant instilled in his NBA teammates may have outweighed their feelings about playing with or against Jordan. Mamba didn’t care who you were; if you weren’t willing to put in the effort, he wasn’t interested in working with you.
However, the former Los Angeles Lakers star’s outstanding talents did not guarantee that he would receive all he desired. He acknowledged that his defining characteristics, the ones that made him famous, were also flaws.
Kobe Bryant was one of the most dedicated athletes in history.

Kobe Bryant, the 13th selection in the 1996 NBA Draft who averaged 7.6 points per game as a rookie, had to work hard and dedicate himself to become the superstar he is for the Lakers.
Bryant used to come to practice early and stay late even in his first year.
“One day I came in… and I heard the ball bounce. There were no lights turned on. Byron Scott, Bryant’s former coach and teammate, told Business Insider in 2017 that practice started at 11 a.m. and ended around 9:30 a.m. When Scott was 35 years old, he played with an 18-year-old Bryant. “And I look out on the floor, and there’s Kobe Bryant.” He’s out there in the dark firing. And I stood there for about 10 seconds, thinking to myself, ‘This child is going to be amazing.’
And once practice started, he approached it as if it were a Game 7.
“When we first began scrimmaging, every day was Game 7. On The Dan Patrick Show, former Lakers player Jon Barry, who played alongside Bryant during his second NBA season, stated, “The man was as motivated as any person I’ve ever met.”
Bryant expected everyone else to work as hard as he did since he worked so hard. He had disagreements with players like Shaquille O’Neal at times. According to a tweet from Lou Williams, the former NBA great tossed away his fellow Lakers players’ shoes (they were wearing Kobes) because they were “soft.”
Bryant understood how hard he had to work to achieve greatness, and he encouraged others to put in the same kind of effort. However, the five-time NBA champion recognized that such famous traits had drawbacks as well.

Bryant talked to GQ in 2015 about how the characteristics that everyone came to adore about him — the qualities that made him a legend — were also issues for him.
“Of course. But, as he told GQ, “the qualities that make a person ordinary are also issues.” “It’s an issue when someone isn’t really good at anything at all. If you want to be the best of all time at anything, you must accept the consequences. It’s great if you want to be a high school administrator, but it comes with its own set of problems.”
Even the NBA MVP for the 2007-08 season acknowledged that his aspirations may have lost him some wonderful friendships since he could never be a “great buddy.”
“I have the potential to be a wonderful buddy. But he’s not a terrific friend,” he told GQ. “A wonderful buddy would remember your birthday and contact you every day. I’ll be so engrossed in my s— that I won’t remember anything. And my pals are aware of this, and they are typically in the same boat. You are drawn to individuals who are similar to you. But the kinds of relationships you see in movies are out of my reach.”
“I have excellent connections with guys all across the league,” he added. Every now and again, LeBron and I will text. Every now and again, [Kevin Garnett] and I will text. But having one of those wonderful, connecting friendships is something I’ll almost certainly never have. And it’s not because I’m arrogant. This is a flaw. “It is a flaw.”
Kobe Bryant continued to make friendships in the NBA.
Kobe Bryant may have believed that he would never establish “bonding friendships,” but the two-time NBA Finals MVP may have formed more than he anticipated.
Bryant was a mentor to several of the league’s younger players. He also made an indelible impression on his teammates and opponents, demonstrating how essential he was to them as a person and basketball player.
According to CBS Sports, Kyrie Irving stated following Bryant’s death, “I could ask him anything, no matter how scared or terrified I was.” “With what goes on on a day-to-day basis on pursuing something greater than yourself, he was simple to approach with those kind of questions.”
Bryant’s Mamba characteristics will live on in players like Irving, who will ideally pass them on to future generations.
Basketball Reference provided the statistics.
