To begin the 2024 NFL season, Lamar Jackson’s favorite weapon is on fire. In the midst of multiple key players’ injuries, Marquise Brown has stepped up for the Baltimore Ravens offense.
Brown is optimistic about the Ravens’ future after their upset of the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. He cautioned against writing them off in 2024.
With Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown believes the Ravens always have a chance.
In Week 2, the Ravens stunned the two-time reigning AFC champion Chiefs with a stunning comeback win. Without Lamar Jackson as quarterback, they aren’t going to win that game.
Marquise Brown has a strong relationship with Jackson and recognizes the significance of No. 8 to Baltimore’s overall success. On NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, he talked with Kay Adams about the team’s outlook for the remainder of the season.
When asked why the Ravens should not be written off, Hollywood had a simple answer. He smiled as he said, “We got Lamar Jackson.” “Whenever you get him, you should never count us out.”
Baltimore has been devastated by injuries since training camp. J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Marcus Peters are among others who have had their seasons cut short due to injury.
In addition, the Ravens have the most players on injured reserve in the league. Rashod Bateman, a first-round draft selection at wide receiver, is on the list.
Brown responded, “Next guy up.” “We have faith in our coaches. We have faith in Lamar, so we’ll just keep pushing.”
Despite the injuries, the Ravens offense remains optimistic.

The Ravens offense suffered the most setbacks against Kansas City because to two interceptions thrown by Lamar Jackson in the first quarter. He, on the other hand, bounced back.
Jackson completed more than 69 percent of his throws for 239 yards and one score. He also ran for 107 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground. For opposing defenders, the former MVP’s dual-threat talent is a nightmare.
After the Ravens’ season-opening loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, some wondered whether their Super Bowl ambitions were just a pipe dream. Jackson’s performance in Week 2 should give Ravens supporters reason to be optimistic for the remainder of the year.
The Ravens are sixth in the NFL in total offense after accumulating 887 yards in two games. They have the best rushing offense in the league, headed by Jackson and incumbent starter Ty’Son Williams. On the run, Baltimore has accumulated 440 yards and five touchdowns.
The offense has had huge plays from Hollywood Brown and Sammy Watkins. Their success has compensated for the absence of Rashod Bateman, who is expected to return shortly.
Many people do not understand how effective the Ravens offense has been.

Marquise Brown of the Oklahoma Sooners was selected with the No. 25 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. High expectations were established for the cousin of All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown in Hollywood.
Brown had a rookie season in which he caught 46 receptions for 584 yards and seven touchdowns. In the next year, he had 58 catches for 769 yards and eight touchdowns.
In 2019, Lamar Jackson targeted the young wideout 71 times, and in 2024, he will target him 100 times. Brown has already been targeted 16 times this season, putting him on pace for a career-high 136 targets throughout the regular season.
Through the first two weeks of the 2024 season, the Hollywood, Florida native has caught 12 receptions for 182 yards and two touchdowns.
Hollywood’s small stature was a major criticism against him going into the draft. He did, however, stress the need of being stronger. Brown put on weight and grew to 180 pounds.
Brown has exceptional top-end speed and has the ability to produce game-changing plays. Despite the fact that he may never be a genuine No. 1 receiver, he has proved to be an important part of Baltimore’s attack.
The Ravens are hopeful that Lamar Jackson and Marquise Brown’s relationship continues to grow.
